“The ‘me’ of universal rhythms”
Photography is a tool to reveal the internal human condition, making emotions and inner states visible. My works reflect constructions of self, shaped by real and imagined circumstances, like dreams brought into focus. It’s a process of unveiling desires and emotional landscapes, opening up our multidimensional selves. Inspired by Edward Weston’s reflection that rhythm is essential to his work, I see my photography as a voyage of discovery—an effort to identify and unify with universal rhythms rather than impose my ideas. This concept has deeply influenced my work across portraits and street photography, exploring themes of isolation, connection, loneliness, and the human desire for belonging and solitude. These contradictions—seeking connection while valuing solitude—are central to understanding the “universal me,” and my photography aims to embody these complex, layered truths.
